A Little Honest Update from Sazzle Stitches

I wanted to share a bit of a personal update, more like a diary entry than anything polished.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on some new things for Sazzle Stitches, and honestly, the biggest learning curve hasn’t been making personalised items or working on new pieces. It’s been learning how to show up online and talk about what I’m doing without overwhelming people.

If you know me, you’ll know I get excited very easily. When I’m working on something I love, especially personalised knitwear, my instinct is always to jump the gun and share everything straight away. All the photos, all the details, all at once. I forget sometimes that what feels exciting to me can feel like a lot when it all lands together.

This preorder has really highlighted that for me. It’s been a real learning curve in slowing down, sharing things more thoughtfully, and trusting that it’s okay not to show everything immediately. That does not come naturally to me at all.

One of the pieces I’ve been especially excited about is a personalised strawberry cardigan knit coming over from the USA. It’s from The Blueberry Hill, and it’s the kind of children’s knitwear I don’t often see here. I think that’s part of why I’ve struggled not to shout about it straight away.

Alongside handmade and personalised baby knitwear, there’s so much learning happening quietly in the background. Learning how social media works, learning how to talk about a mum-run business, and learning how to balance excitement with calm. I’m very much figuring it out as I go.

Some days I share too much, too quickly. Other days I hold back more than I should. But I think that’s all part of growing a small business from the ground up. This business is personal to me, and I feel everything quite deeply.

I’m learning that it’s okay to be excited, and it’s also okay to pause. It’s okay to learn in public. And it’s okay not to have it all figured out while running Sazzle Stitches.

Thank you for being here, for supporting a mum-run business, and for following along whether loudly or quietly. It genuinely means more than I can ever explain 🤍
